  • Violinist Roman Patočka is one of the exceptional personalities of the current generation of soloists. He is a winner and laureate of competitions such as Prague Spring, Leopold Mozart in Augsburg, Pablo de Sarasate in Pamplona, Václav Huml in Zagreb, Flame in Paris, Max Rostal in Berlin, and others. Roman Patočka performs as a soloist with renowned orchestras in the Czech Republic and abroad (Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic, Navarra Symphony Orchestra, etc.). Under the baton of Sir Charles Mackerras, he performed Janáček’s The Wandering of a Little Soul with the Brno State Philharmonic and collaborated with the Berg Chamber Orchestra on the world premiere of Bohuslav Martinů’s Czech Rhapsody for violin and orchestra. In 2015, he debuted with the Czech Philharmonic in Jan Hanuš’s violin concerto.

    Roman Patočka is a member of the Eben Piano Trio and the Talich String Quartet.

  • Kateřina Málková already performed in Lübeck, Germany, at the Cathedral and St. Jakobikirche during her organ studies.

    When she completed her master’s studies at HAMU in 2010 as part of the concert series "The Best" with the North Bohemian Philharmonic Teplice, performing F. Poulenc’s organ concerto, she had already performed at the Kabeláč and Messiaen Minifestival and at contemporary music concerts of the composition department. Today, she dedicates herself to solo performance and has appeared at festivals such as the Eduard Nápravník International Music Festival, Podblanický podzim, Štětí Organ Autumn, and Suk’s Musical Štiřín. In Slovakia, she played on the occasion of the European Organ Festival in Kremnica. Kateřina Málková has given concerts in Germany, Latvia, and Lithuania. She collaborates with many Czech orchestras, including the CNSO Czech National Symphony Orchestra, North Bohemian Philharmonic, Atlantis Orchestra, Collegium Magistrorum Mikulov, and Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic. She emphasizes the interpretation of contemporary compositions and chamber music. In 2019, she performed with an orchestra at concerts in Switzerland and is preparing an international music festival in South Moravia and Lower Austria for 2020.

  • Cellist Jiří Bárta is one of the top cellists of his generation. He is the artistic director and co-founder of the International Chamber Music Festival in Kutná Hora. As part of his extensive concert activities, he performs in collaboration with leading artists and orchestras in major concert halls and festivals throughout Europe, America, Japan, and Australia. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Hammer Rostropovich Award (Los Angeles 1991), Europäische Förderpreis für Musik (Dresden 1991), Harmonie monthly magazine award for the best Czech classical music recording (1995, 1999), Klassik Heute Empfehlung, Gramophone Editor’s Choice, Grammy Award London (for a joint recording of song repertoire with Magdaléna Kožená) and many others. In addition to Supraphon, Jiří Bárta has also recorded for Lotos, Deutsche Gramophon, and recently for London’s Hyperion. His discography includes Bach’s suites, Shostakovich’s concertos, as well as Foerster’s concerto and Rubinstein’s sonatas. Dvořák’s Cello Concerto was recorded live by Bárta with the Czech Philharmonic conducted by Jiří Bělohlávek at a concert commemorating the 100th anniversary of Dvořák’s death; the concert was broadcast by Arte Channel throughout Europe.
