The Church of the Holy Trinity is a Roman Catholic church in the market town of Drnholec, in the Břeclav district. A late Baroque building designed by the architect Franz Anton Grimm, it was built between 1750 and 1757. It replaced an older Gothic church, which was subsequently converted into a rectory. The church serves as the parish church of the Drnholec parish and is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The church is a single-nave, oriented building with a cruciform ground plan, with a rectangular nave slightly extended on the sides by short arms. The eastern side of the nave is closed by a segmented chancel, flanked by four-sided structures of the sacristy and a chapel, with oratories on the upper floor. The western part of the nave is closed by a façade with the main entrance, flanked by a pair of towers with belfries. The façade of the western front is covered with pilasters supporting a risalit ending in a triangular gable. Above the entrance portal is a balcony window. Further windows are broken in the side walls of the nave and in the chancel. The church’s façades are articulated by corner lesenes. At the roof level, a massive dividing cornice runs around the building. The main altar of the church is contemporary, with sculptural decoration by Ondřej Schweigl. In its centre is a painting of the Holy Trinity by Josef Stern, flanked by statues of St. Cyril and St. Methodius. In the nave, there are two opposing retable altars with paintings by Josef Stern. The original pulpit, font, and organ case are also preserved. A large bell from 1829 and two smaller bells from 1919 hang in the towers.
