Ort

The church was built on the site of an earlier Romanesque church. The core of the present building dates from the 15th century. However, the construction was not completed due to the invasion of Hussite troops into the town, who burned and looted the church. The church was provisionally repaired and subsequently completed during the 16th century and the first half of the 17th century. The building was finally completed around 1640 with a new vaulting of the three naves and new stucco decoration. A sacristy with a music gallery on the upper floor was added, and the Gothic windows were modified to their present form.
