Josef Klíč (1976) is a native of Moravská Třebová. After graduating from the Pardubice Conservatory (1996), he entered JAMU in Brno, which he completed in 2000. A year later, he began teaching there. In 2000, as an intern, he completed his studies at the Toho Gakuen Academy in Toyama, Japan, where he was subsequently offered an assistant position.
From 2001 to 2010, he worked as a cellist in the Moravian Quartet. He has received numerous awards at international interpretation and composition competitions.
Currently, he is the concertmaster of the Janáček Opera Orchestra of the National Theatre in Brno.
